Neil Balthazar is a screenwriter based out of Mumbai, who started his career in the merchant navy before pivoting to become an author, stand-up comedian and senior writer for the comedy collective East India Comedy (EIC). In 2018, Neil began his foray into screenwriting for features and webseries.Since then, he has worked with directors Siddharth Anand, Bejoy Nambiar, Latha Menon, Rajiv Menon, Surya Balakrishnan, Rajiv Rajaram, Kookie Gulati and Krishnakumar Ramakumar, and he currently has two feature films in development.Neil is passionate about writing imaginative, visually-driven screenplay that jumps off the page, and is experienced in collaborating with leading directors and production houses on high-concept projects across multiple genres.
